Serges Essombo Ewane (Workshop)
Serges Essombo Ewane, also known as “The Magician,” is a Cameroonian dancer, dance educator and choreographer. He has built his academic and professional artistic career with experience in a wide range of dance traditions and a specialization in African dance.
For nearly a decade, he has served as a dance teacher and choreographer at the National Institute of Youth and Sports of Cameroon and as a part-time choreographer with the National Ballet of Cameroon. He has created choreography for numerous international ceremonies and cultural events hosted by Cameroon.
A dedicated educator, Essombo Ewane regularly teaches African dance workshops and classes at special programs and cultural events, including the Garth Fagan Dance School Summer Program, DanceAfrica Festival.
