This year, we're thrilled to announce our annual evening concert, which will precede our free outdoor festival event. The concert will be held September 13, 2024, at the familiar venue of St. John's Church, located at 2640 St. Paul Street in Baltimore.

Experience an unforgettable evening of music with two powerhouse acts headlining our festival concert: Chopteeth and Janelia Soul!

Chopteeth, an 11-piece Afrofunk orchestra, will lead you on a rhythmic adventure blending the best of West African and American music. With roots deeply planted in Afrobeat, their fusion of modern jazz, Yoruba tribal beats, and James Brown-inspired rhythms will keep you dancing all night long.

Joining them is the incomparable Janelia Soul, whose soul-stirring vocals and captivating stage presence bring a fresh perspective to Afro-soul. Drawing from her Nigerian heritage and Baltimore upbringing, Janelia's lyrical prowess and heartfelt melodies will touch your soul and leave you wanting more.
