Clayton Williams was born in the Garifuna village of Hopkins, Belize and has since become a musician, singer/songwriter, percussionist and guitarist who creates Garifuna music. Garifuna music is an ethnic music and dance with African, Arawak, and Kalinago elements, which originated among the Afro-Indigenous Garifuna people. Clayton Williams aims to preserve the tradition and culture of Garifuna’s unique language and sound, all while pushing it forward into the future.
