Although widely known for her work as an actress in ‘The Wire’ and ‘The Corner’, Maria Broom is also a talented storyteller and dancer who has taught and performed globally, as well as across the United States. Her background in yoga, meditation, Homa therapy and dance therapy helps her lead retreats, workshops, and weekly classes which aim to aid with stress relief. Homa therapy is the Vedic science of purifying and nourishing the atmosphere through the fire, prepared specifically in a small inverted copper pyramid. Agnihorta is the most basic of Homa fires, and is normally performed daily at sunrise and sunset.
