FUNSHO (Foon-sho) Adenugba is a dynamic and universally lovable singer-songwriter, musician, and recording artist, who wins over every live audience he encounters. Rolling Stone Magazine calls his voice “Silky Smooth,” Washington Post praises his musical approach, Baltimore Magazine says, “He creates instant feel-good vibes,” and The Baltimore Sun readers have voted him “Best Musician” of 2019. He is originally from Lagos, Nigeria, raised in Lanham, Maryland, and a graduate of The University of Maryland - College Park. He sings in both English and Yoruba languages and plays guitar and piano.

FUNSHO first garnered national attention in 2018 on NBC The Voice TV show, receiving a 3 chair turn from star coaches: Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson. His TV cover of “Finesse” by Bruno Mars has 2.5 million Youtube views, and his cover of “Earned It” by The Weeknd has 1 million views. Levine said: “You literally have it all, and it’s amazing to hear a vocalist that’s so complete.” He chose Levine as his coach and, later, was stolen by Blake Shelton here. FUNSHO has shared the stage with Sean Paul, Nelly, Big Sean, Logic, Gin Blossoms and SWV. He entertains solo or with his full band at special events, live music concerts and festivals. FUNSHO’s original music is fun, soulful, uplifting, and rooted in Pop Soul/R&B with Afrobeat accents and flavor. He released his third EP (Extended Play) record: NUMB3RZ in Spring of 2019. Recent highlights include “Dis Ting,” “Own Way,” and “Legends 4 Life”, the last of which was featured on Washington DC’s 93.9 and 95.5 radio stations and BET Jams. His past EP’s include S.H.E (Sounds Have Emotions), 2015 and Love Acoustically, 2011. His versatile cover sets span genres and decades from Classics to Motown to Top40/Dance hits. Highlights include “Bruno Mars / Prince cover,” “This Christmas,” “If by Davido,” and “She Will be Loved by Maroon 5.
